Job summary

South Central Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room in Magee, MS. This PRN role supports high-acuity ED operations, providing patient assessment, triage, and collaboration with physicians to deliver timely care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Mississippi RN license with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI within 90 days of hire; TNCC is required after one year of ER experience. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred to join a dedicated ED team.

Qualifications

• Mississippi RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or within 30 days).
• TNCC required after one year of ER experience.
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan nursing care.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform patient testing and administer medications within RN scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes in the emergency department.
