Job summary

Merit Health in Jackson, MS is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (PRN Nights). Qualifications

• Active RN license in Mississippi or Compact State.
• BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.
• Ability to administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Provide patient and family education on care plans and post-discharge steps.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
