Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Emergency Department in Lewiston, Maine. This 12-week assignment offers day and night shifts, with weekly pay and a competitive pay range up to $50 per hour.
Requirements include current LPN/LVN license, IV and BW certifications, BLS, and at least 1 year ED experience. Responsibilities include bedside care, vital signs, IV therapy, blood draws, trauma support and collaboration with care teams.
Qualifications
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- One year ED experience required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver bedside care in a high-volume emergency setting.
- Monitor vital signs, patient condition and acuity changes.
- Assist with medication administration, IV therapy, and blood draws.
- Support trauma, triage and emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians and care teams.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control and ED protocols.
- Document care in EMR/EHR systems.
- Communicate changes in condition quickly and accurately.
