Job summary

Bayhealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Kent Campus Hospital to provide professional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. The role requires accurate documentation, administration of medications, and adherence to Bayhealth policies.

Qualifications

• Certificate Program Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent credit hours in an RN program.
• 2 years ED experience as a Tech/LPN; or 2 years of LPN with medication administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret documents such as doctors’ orders, medication names, and lab tests.
• Provide general basic nursing care, such as positioning patients and assisting with activities of daily living.
• Prepare and administer oral medications as ordered by the physician or APC.
• Perform venipuncture and monitor patient condition during procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and safety regulations.
• Document treatment records and report changes in patient condition promptly.
