Job summary

ContinueCARE Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our hospital team. The LPN provides high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced setting, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being under supervision of an RN or physician.

The role requires an active LPN license in Kentucky, at least 1 year of hospital experience, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in the State of Position
• Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital experience
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Strong clinical skills and sound judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or physician
• Perform patient assessments and document observations and interventions accurately
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and report any changes to the RN or physician
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement patient care
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
