Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a PRN assignment at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. The role involves direct patient care within the RN scope, using therapeutic communication to maintain a safe, healing environment and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary team.

You will perform nursing processes, document care in a timely manner, and serve as a clinical resource for staff while responding to physician and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Social skills to positively engage with patients, guests, physicians, and other employees.
• Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (BSN or ASN).
• Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or appropriate compact State.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required for PRN

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to their ages.
• Promote customer service initiatives and HCAHPS values.
• Document all patient care in a timely manner.
• Utilize the Nursing Process for individualized care to meet patient needs.
• Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
• Promote compliance with National Patient Safety Goals.
