Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act, with a focus on Labor and Delivery. This role emphasizes hands-on care and safe patient handling.

You will utilize therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, protect patient PHI, document all care, and collaborate with the care team to meet patient needs and hospital goals.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (BSN or ADN).
• 1 year of RN experience.
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 6 months.
• NRP required within 6 months.
• AWHONN basic to advanced within one year.
• CPI training and certification within six months.
• Current Tennessee Board of Nursing licensure or Compact State licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care within the RN scope of practice.
• Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice and ensure a safe environment.
• Protect patient privacy and PHI; maintain confidentiality.
• Use nursing process for individualized care and document all patient care.
• Demonstrate technical skills, follow procedures, and apply critical thinking.
• Coordinate care that supports the hospital's mission and goals.
