Job summary

Triangle Veterinary Referral Hospital of Durham is seeking an ER/ICU Medical Support Supervisor. This working supervisor role requires at least 75% clinical floor presence and leadership of the ER/ICU medical support team, including staffing, training, and performance management.

You will partner with ER/ICU clinicians and hospital leadership to optimize patient flow, coach staff, and develop training plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, veterinary nurse, or comparable veterinary medical support professional.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) preferred where applicable.
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Hold 75% of time on clinical floor leading ER/ICU medical support team.
• Staffing, scheduling, training, performance management and coaching.
• Develop and maintain ER/ICU policies, workflows and patient care processes.
• Lead department meetings, monitor workflow and patient care quality.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop team members.
• Collaborate with ER/ICU clinicians and hospital leadership to optimize patient flow.
