Job summary

Townsen Memorial Hospital Humble is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse ER House Supervisor to join our team. The role leads the ER staff in the absence of upper management while delivering direct patient care and developing individualized nursing care plans.

This position requires an active Texas RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS or ability to obtain within 60 days, and five years of supervisory experience in acute care. Join Townsen Memorial to support compassionate, evidence-based emergency services.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Texas RN license.
• Experience as an RN in Emergency/ER is required.
• Experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (or obtain within 60 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Oversee ER operations and supervise staff in the absence of management.
• Provide direct patient care in the ER setting.
• Explain nursing procedures and educate patients and families.
• Maintain accurate patient records and timely documentation.
• Coordinate transfers and ensure EMTALA compliance.
• Maintain equipment readiness and a safe, therapeutic environment.
