Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an RN in Texas to lead nursing care for patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgery. The role requires clinical leadership, assessment, planning, and collaboration with the health care team, with weekend/holiday on-call as needed.

Qualified candidates will hold a Texas RN license, preferably BSN, and have 2+ years of acute care experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications are required and ongoing.

Qualifications

• RN Seasonal staff require 2+ years of acute care experience on a full-time basis or 4 years on a part-time basis.
• RN Seasonal staff must float to other areas where competent to work.
• Must be available to work at least 4 full weekend shifts per month and 1 holiday per quarter.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients admitted or seen for medical conditions or surgical procedures.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Assess, plan, guide, and evaluate nursing care per facility policies.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and ancillary departments regarding patient care and conflicts.
