Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Float Pool. You will provide clinical expertise for high-acuity patients, ensuring quality, efficient care in a demanding environment.

You’ll assess and intervene for critically ill patients, educate patients and families, maintain records, and administer medications as ordered. Florida RN license, nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications are required or obtained within six months.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred, required within 6 months of hire.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications preferred, required within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS certification preferred, required within 6 months of hire.
• CCRN or CEN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of critically ill patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients’ records including posting tests and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
