Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Float Pool. You will provide expert clinical care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment, while supporting a collaborative team and contributing to patient outcomes.

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care, educate patients and families on medications and treatments, and maintain accurate patient records.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse license in good standing or eligible for compact licensure.
• Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute/critical care setting preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred and within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• ENPC and NIHSS certifications preferred, within 6 months.
• CCRN or CEN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for critically ill patients.
• Educate patients and families on medications and treatments.
• Maintain and review patient records, including tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
