Job summary

Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ, is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join the Emergency Room team on a PRN basis. The role involves 12-hour shift coverage and participation in ambulance transport and on-scene stabilization.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Two years of college preferred.
• Graduate of a Program in Discipline required.
• Licenses: EMT-B Required; Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Safely navigates ambulance to patient location.
• Provides scene stabilization and requests additional assistance as necessary.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury and patient history from available sources.
• Administers emergency medical care within scope of practice, including patient stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation.
• Contacts medical personnel, reports observations, and follows directives from supervising Physician or RN.
• Maintains equipment, restocks supplies and cleans ambulance.
