Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, AZ is hiring an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for the Emergency Department. This full-time role features day shifts and 12-hour schedules in a Level III trauma setting, with emphasis on rapid patient triage and on-scene stabilization.

Ideal candidates hold EMT-B certification, BLS, and a high school diploma or higher, with a preference for those who completed a program in a related discipline and have strong critical-thinking skills in stressful

Qualifications

• Education required or equivalent; paramedical program preferred.
• Ability to think critically and make rapid decisions in emergencies.
• EMT-B certification and BLS training are expected prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate ambulance to locations and assess scene needs.
• Stabilize patients and request needed additional medical support.
• Determine patient condition and history from available sources.
• Provide emergency care and monitor/resuscitate within scope of practice.
• Report observations to supervising medical staff and follow directives.
• Maintain equipment and restock supplies; clean the ambulance.
