Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking an EMT to join the North Campus Emergency Dept./Urgent Care. You will function under EMS Medical Director guidance and provide emergent patient care in a fast-paced setting, while mentoring teammates and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include patient prep, documentation, and basic procedures such as CPR, EKGs, phlebotomy, and IV access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited EMT program (with IV certification).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent certification.
• Colorado EMT certification. If you are an AEMT/Paramedic, IV certification may not be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergent/urgent patient care within a fast-paced ED/UC environment.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor to other team members.
• Maintain licensure, certifications and skills; adhere to policies and procedures.
• Cross-train to cover multiple roles within department and CHCO EDs/UCs.
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and assist in balancing clinical workloads.
• Educate patients and families with written and verbal instructions; provide basic airway and respiratory care.
