Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking a passionate veterinarian to join the New ER Doctor (NERD) program. This six-month, immersive training lets you work side-by-side with experienced VEG doctors on real ER cases, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship as you prepare for a full-time ER role.

You must hold a DVM/VMD or equivalent, be licensed to practice and have a DEA registration in the state of start date. Relocation may be required, with a pathway to placement at VEG after program completion.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD or equivalent degree required.
• Be a practicing veterinarian for 1+ years.
• Valid license to practice veterinary medicine and DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with VEG doctors through real ER cases with hands-on learning and mentorship.
• Gain up-close ER experience with 3-4 hospital shifts per week (days, swings, nights) plus weekly case discussions and hands-on training.
