Job summary

Effinghamschools seeks an ER Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Room. This role ensures safe, high-quality care, staffing, compliance, patient flow, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, coordinate with physicians and departments, and uphold CMS and state requirements while fostering a culture of safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Current, unencumbered Georgia RN license required.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS within 30 days of hire; TNCC, NRP preferred within six months.

Responsibilities

• Directs Emergency Room clinical and operational functions and sets departmental priorities.
• Oversees staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce development.
• Ensures competency validation, training, and adoption of new equipment and procedures.
• Maintains budget oversight, regulatory readiness, and quality metrics within the ER.
• Collaborates with physicians, leadership, and other departments to ensure efficient patient flow and safety.
