The role oversees staffing, budgeting, regulatory readiness, quality metrics, and collaboration with physicians and other departments, requiring deep nursing leadership and strong communication.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program required.
• Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license required; must obtain BLS, PALS, and ACLS within 30 days; TNCC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale preferred within six months.

Aufgaben

• Coordinates the functions and activities of nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care during assigned shifts.
• Directs ER clinical and operational functions and ensures delivery of safe, timely, high-quality care.
• Develops staffing plans and schedules; monitors productivity and skill mix.
• Leads recruitment, onboarding, retention, succession planning, and workforce development.
• Ensures effective orientation, annual education, competency validation, and training for new equipment and practice changes.
• Manages departmental budget and controls costs without compromising quality.
• Ensures compliance with nursing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Promotes patient experience and effective communication with staff and families.
• Conducts daily rounds and lead shift huddles; supports efficient patient flow.
• Participates in quality improvement and risk management activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
