Job summary

Atrium Health Waxhaw Emergency Department is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment, adhering to protocols to ensure patient safety and optimal image quality. Required credentials include ARRT radiology or NMTCB with CT registry within one year of hire, and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT Scanners and associated equipment with proficiency.
• Properly identify patients, prepare for procedures, and document history and consent.
• Administers IV contrast per protocol and records contrast details.
• Evaluates image quality and collaborates with Radiologist on findings.
• Performs basic patient care, supports during emergencies, and maintains sterile technique.
• Rotates shifts as required, adheres to attendance policies, and maintains safety standards.
