Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) in Parker, CO is seeking a Veterinary Technician for Emergency & Critical Care on a Per Diem basis. The ER/ECC Technician triages patients, provides lifesaving care under the ER doctor, and collaborates with float technicians for diagnostics and treatment.

The role requires at least one year of veterinary technician experience, Colorado RVT credential or eligibility, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• At least one year of veterinary technician experience is required.
• Registered Veterinary Technician in Colorado or able to become registered on hire.
• Fluent English skills (speaking and reading) are required.

Responsibilities

• Triage ER patients and provide lifesaving care under the ER doctor.
• Obtain patient history and vital signs, assist with exams and treatments.
• Perform restraints, venipuncture, SQ fluids, radiographs, medications.
• Assist with anesthesia and monitoring per hospital protocols.
• Maintain paperless records in EzyVet and SmartFlow.
• Communicate updates to owners and coordinate care with departments.
