Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) in Parker, CO is seeking a Veterinary Technician for the Emergency ICU Swing shift. The ICU Tech will provide advanced inpatient care, assist veterinarians, manage imaging and sample processing, and help discharge patients with families.

The position offers a sign-on bonus and overtime differential after 6pm. Ideal candidates hold Colorado RVT credentials, have at least one year of experience, and communicate effectively with the team and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year veterinary technician experience required.
• Registration as a Colorado RVT or ability to become registered upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English (speaking & reading) required; multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced patient care to hospitalized patients.
• Assists veterinarians with exams, treatments and procedures.
• Performs standard technician duties: restraint, venipuncture, SQ fluids, radiographs, medications.
• Maintains paperless medical records using EzyVet and Smartflow.
• Communicates with veterinarians and owners; assists with estimates and discharging patients.
• Attends department and staff meetings; participates in sedation and anesthesia per protocols.
• Collaborates across departments to ensure optimal patient care.
