Job summary

Athol-Hospital is seeking personnel for a night shift role in a hospital environment. The position involves assisting patients, physicians and nurses during procedures, maintaining a clean environment, and supporting admissions and discharges.

Training may be provided for EKG, glucometer testing, and phlebotomy as competency allows. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved nursing or medical program.

Qualifications

• Minimum education includes high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One or more of the following: nursing student with fundamentals course and 75 hours of clinical, CNA program, CMA program or EMT program.
• Experience in Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit preferred.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Works with healthcare teams to complete assignments.
• Maintains a clean environment for patients and visitors.
• Assists during procedures and with admissions/discharges.
• Performs blood draws, EKGs, and glucometer testing as competency allows.
• Observes vital signs and reports data to the RN.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Nursing student with fundamentals course

CNA program completion

Certified Medical Assistant program completion
