Job summary

Prime Healthcare is hiring an Emergency Room Nursing Assistant (CNA or non‑certified) for Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL. 12‑hour nights shifts require patient care, vitals monitoring, and support in a fast‑paced ED.

Applicants should have a CNA or be willing to obtain CNA; BLS and Violence Prevention training are required or within 6 months. Benefits include health coverage and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate or within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
• Current CNA certificate.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with basic needs (bathing, dressing, toileting), reposition and transfer as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs; assist with wound care under supervision.
• Prepare rooms and stock medical supplies; transport patients within the hospital.
• Assist with procedures and CPR/BLS if certified.
• Record patient information; report changes to nurses/doctors; provide emotional support.
• Clean and sanitize patient areas and equipment; follow infection control protocols.
