Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System in Coshocton, OH, seeks a Clinical Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care during the night shift. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of orientation.
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required or obtained within one year of hire date.
• BCRA certification within 12 months of hire date, provided classes are available.
• Successful completion of course approved by the Ohio Department of Highway Safety EMS Board, EMT-P required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written manner.
• Ability to collect data, interpret findings, set priorities and carry out plan.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in venipuncture and IV therapy under supervision.
• Accurately take and record measurements.
• Collaborate with other caregivers on the unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in ER patient care within scope of practice.
• Perform 12 lead EKGs and interpret cardiac rhythms and document results.
• Assist patients with personal needs and document appropriately.
• Stock and replace outdates in patient rooms daily and sign off.
• Assist with department appearance and clean rooms after discharge.
• Assist with patient transports to testing and inpatient units.
• Respond to call lights by entering patient rooms.
• Stock IV trays, lab trays and med room daily.
• Monitor and document duties from the database.
• May administer first round ACLS drugs as directed by physician.
• Other duties as assigned.
