Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Clinical Supervisor RN - Emergency Department to lead a skilled ED team during nights (7 pm to 7:30 am). This full-time role blends patient care with leadership, accountability, and process improvement.

You will oversee staffing, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor staff while maintaining high-quality patient care, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• BSN degree preferred for the role.
• RN-C certification within 2 years of hire preferred.
• PALS certification within 30 days for pediatric-admitting units.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ED clinical team and supervise nursing operations.
• Guide processes to improve patient care and outcomes.
• Provide leadership during night shifts to ensure safe, efficient care.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

Current BLS upon hire and maintain

Current ACLS 30 days upon of hire and maintain

Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred

PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients
