Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the North Strand Freestanding ER to ensure high quality, patient-centered care and to coordinate all shift functions. The CNC will lead nursing care, serve as a resource to staff, and support organizational goals with a focus on patient outcomes and satisfaction.

The role requires RN licensure with leader responsibilities, and ACLS/BCLS/PALS instructor credentials within 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• RN diploma required; ACLS/BCLS/PALS instructor certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• APRN or RN license required.
• Position emphasizes leadership, scheduling, training, and staff development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies like hourly rounds and staff engagement initiatives.
• Recommends actions for interviewing, training, performance evaluations, and policy compliance.
• Manages staff scheduling and labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Oversees inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
