Job summary

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during assigned shift. Working with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with policies to support exceptional patient outcomes.

You will participate in admissions/discharges, staff development, scheduling, and inventory control while promoting teamwork and service excellence.

Qualifications

• The CNC ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
• Directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Serves as a resource for staff and models the organization’s values.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to create an environment of teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Implements nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, training staff, and performance evaluations.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
