Job summary

Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all unit functions during the designated shift. Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput and quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of care in the unit with management.
• Collaborates with managers to establish teamwork and improve outcomes and service.
• Upholds patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Supports nursing strategies such as rounding and hourly rounds to boost engagement.
• Recommends and implements actions for staff interviewing, training, and performance management.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor planning to match patient needs and productivity guidelines.
• Manages inventory and supplies for the unit.
