Job summary
Mission Health's Highlands-Cashiers Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality patient-centered care and coordinate unit activities during the shift.
The CNC collaborates with management to support staffing, training, and quality initiatives, improving outcomes and operational efficiency in a patient-first environment.
This role requires NC RN licensure, BLS, and 1+ year of nursing experience, with a strong commitment to excellence and patient safety.
Qualifications
- RN license in NC or compact license, with NC BON active license
- 1+ years of applicable nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities
- Assists with admission and discharge processes for throughput and high-quality care.
- Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care with leadership.
- Collaborates with managers to create an environment of teamwork for improved outcomes.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
- Implements nursing strategies, including staff rounding and engagement initiatives.
- Recommends and facilitates staff hiring, training, and performance development actions.
- Manages staff scheduling and labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Assists with inventory control and supplies management.
