Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the ER to influence patient care through collaboration with management and hospital councils. The CNC directs nursing care, participates in quality assessments, and helps implement strategies to improve outcomes and the patient experience.

The role focuses on throughput, staff development, scheduling, and resource management to maintain a high standard of care across shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of ER RN experience required.
• RN license and associated certifications as listed.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to improve outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Leads nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, training staff and performance actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Supports inventory control and aids in managing supplies and equipment.
