Qualifications

• Must have ER RN experience.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience in area of specialty.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and directs all activities between the interdisciplinary team to direct and facilitate departmental throughput.
• Coordinates with ancillary departments to ensure proper turn-around times.
• Makes daily assignments for all personnel according to skills and patient needs.
• Acts as a liaison to staff, medical personnel, patients and families; addresses care concerns.
• Mentors/coaches assigned staff and contributes to annual performance reviews.
• Participates in ongoing program evaluation, process improvement and patient-centered outcomes.
• Promotes professional growth and development; supports department goals and policy adherence.
