Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities during on-duty periods, ensuring compliance with Long Term Care and applicable standards. The role drives quality patient care under the direction of the Director of Nursing Service.

The position requires Montana RN licensure or a valid compact license, strong communication, and leadership abilities, with focus on safety, confidentiality, and professional development of staff.

Qualifications

• Must have current Montana RN license or compact license.
• In good physical and mental health to sustain extended shifts.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.
• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics to meet job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities on duty.
• Maintain a professional image of the nursing department and institution.
• Communicate with other health team disciplines effectively.
• Assign shift responsibilities to staff RN's, LPN's, and aides.
• Assist with patient discharge, transfers and admissions.
• Ensure confidentiality of patients, physicians and staff.
