Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or compact license with FL license within 60 days of hire.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience is required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current NIHSS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required with 6 month grace period for new hires/transfers.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Collaborates with management to assess and improve patient care quality in the unit.
• Leads a teamwork environment to support improved outcomes and service.
• Supports staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, staff training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversees inventory control and equipment management.
