Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is hiring a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Freestanding ER Plant City location. You will lead nursing care, coordinate admissions, and partner with the management team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, ER experience, and current life-support certifications. The CNC will drive staff development, scheduling, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Florida RN or compact license with FL active within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training required within 6 month grace period for new/transfer employees.
• National Board Certification (CEN or CPEN) highly preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services in the unit.
• Collaborates with managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Recommends and implements staff training, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
