Job summary

HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the University Emergency. The CNC will lead nursing care, coordinate unit functions, and collaborate across management to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes patient-first care, staffing guidance, and ongoing professional development. The ideal candidate will hold a Florida RN license, have at least 1 year of ER RN experience, and possess current BLS; ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NIHSS/TNCC, and CPI training

Qualifications

• Florida RN license in good standing; active FL RN license required within 60 days if compact.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year ER RN experience.
• BLS certificate current; ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• PALS and/or ENPC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS and TNCC within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• CPI training within 6 months; new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge to ensure throughput and quality care.
• Monitors, directs, and evaluates nursing care per policies.
• Collaborates with management to improve outcomes and teamwork.
• Supports patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies and staff engagement initiatives.
• Participates in interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Oversees inventory control and supplies/equipment management.
