Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of EMT/nursing aide experience; or 30 college credits in nursing; or completion of practical nursing program; or medical assistant certificate.
• Minimum one year of relevant emergency care experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
• Clinical support duties require infection control and patient handling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to emergency department patients.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Conduct point-of-care testing and vital signs monitoring.
• Assist with patient hygiene and nutrition needs.
• Transport patients and manage medical equipment.
• Respond to life-threatening emergencies and coordinate with staff.
