Rhode Island Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support patient care under RN supervision. The role includes wound care, EKGs, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures to ensure efficient ER operations.

The position requires a High School diploma with BLS certification and preferred ER experience. Training on department protocols and patient safety will be provided. Night shifts with every other weekend may apply.

Qualificações

• High School diploma. BLS required.
• 1+ year ER technician experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates patient care activities for ER patients including department flow, setup for procedures, documentation, discharge instructions, and coordination of other professional services as directed.
• Removes sutures/staples after wound assessment by physician.
• Applies slings, ace wraps, cervical collars, immobilizers.
• Measures patients for crutches and performs wound care.
• Performs EKGs and phlebotomy on patients.
• Documents vital signs and interventions in ED clinical record.
• Maintains sterile instruments and inventory of ER supplies.
