Job summary

Brown University Health in Fall River, MA seeks an Emergency Room Technician to support patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with procedures, monitor vitals, document interventions, and help with patient comfort in a fast-paced ED environment.

The role requires at least one year of ER tech experience, phlebotomy or EKG exposure, and basic computer skills. Night shifts, every other weekend, with a value-driven, compassionate team culture.

Qualifications

• More than one year's experience as an ER technician preferred.
• Phlebotomy and/or EKG experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care activities for ER patients, including flow, logging, setup, and documentation.
• Remove sutures and staples after physician assessment.
• Apply splints, slings, cervical collars, and immobilizers as directed.
• Measure patient height and weight and assist with crutch walking.
• Perform wound care and apply dressings and OTC ointments.
• Conduct EKGs and phlebotomy, and document vital signs in the ED record.
