Job summary

Brown Medicine is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support patient care in a busy ER setting. You will help with patient flow, documentation, and preparing for procedures under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include performing phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and applying slings or immobilizers as directed. Strong communication and basic computer skills are required; BLS certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of more than one year's ER technician experience.
• Phlebotomy and/or EKG experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care activities for ER patients, including flow, logging, setup, and documentation.
• Assist physician with procedures and wound care; apply splints and immobilizers.
• Perform phlebotomy and EKGs; measure oxygen saturation.
• Rinse and reassemble equipment; prep sterile instruments for procedures.
• Maintain inventory of ER supplies.
