UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital in Holly Springs, NC seeks a Part Time Nursing Assistant I to assist with patient care in the Emergency Department, contributing to patient safety and timely responses to patient needs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, Nursing Assistant I or EMT certification, and BLS. The unit handles a range of emergencies in a 24-bed setting with a dedicated triage/assessment area.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement.
• Listing as a Nursing Assistant I or EMT certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Aufgaben

• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates every 2 hours or as directed.
• Records intake and outputs as directed.
• Performs urinary catheterization or in and out Foley procedure and documents accordingly.
• Sets up area for sterile procedure and documents accordingly.
• Performs minor orthopedic splinting under the direction of the physician assistant.
• Documents any skin breakdowns noted and notifies RN.
• Removes any IV catheter and documents accordingly.
• Transcribes, documents, and transmits physician orders and any other pertinent information.
• Able to work in all three areas of department - triage, minor treatment and acute. Follows guidelines per departmental policy in each of these areas.
