Three Crosses Regional Hospital in Las Cruces, NM is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support ED physicians, nurses, and EMT staff in delivering high-quality patient care. The role emphasizes clinical skills and efficiency in a fast-paced ED setting.

The candidate will monitor vital signs, assist with procedures, obtain specimens, and help with throughput while maintaining HIPAA privacy and hospital policies. Flexibility to work various shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Required: 1+ years EMS or hospital/clinical experience (CNA or PCT preferred).
• Required: Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.
• Preferred: BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.

Responsabilités

• Take direction from RN/EMT/physician to maintain high patient care standards.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and splint application.
• Perform phlebotomy, 12-lead ECGs, IV access, and patient transfers as needed.
• Assist with direct/indirect patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Transport patients and obtain specimens (blood, urine, etc.).
• Restock carts, disinfect equipment, and maintain infection control.
• Greet patients and staff professionally and relay information accurately.
