Job summary

Three Crosses Regional Hospital in Las Cruces, NM, seeks an Emergency Department Technician to work with ED physicians, nurses, EMTs, and providers to deliver high-quality patient care. The role focuses on clinical skills, throughput, and support of the ED team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with procedures, drawing specimens, and maintaining infection control. Requires EMS or hospital experience and BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years EMS or hospital/clinical experience (CNA/PCT preferred).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and on-call.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes direction from RN/EMT/physician to maintain a high standard of patient care.
• Monitors patient vital signs and reports changes promptly.
• Assists with wound care, dressing changes, and splint application.
• Performs venipuncture, ECGs, and IV access as needed.
• Assists with direct/indirect patient care under licensed nurse supervision.
• Transports patients to other departments as required.
• Maintains infection-control standards and cleans equipment and supplies.
• Responds to emergencies and supports department throughput.
