Vassar Brothers Medical Center in the Hudson Valley is seeking an entry-level Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking vitals, and supporting clinical tasks to ensure safe, efficient care.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and CNA training or CNA/EMT certification with prior experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Healthcare Certification is required.
• Completion of CNA training or proof of CNA/EMT certification with at least 6 months of experience.

Responsabilités

• Assists in delivery of patient care as part of nursing team under RN supervision.
• Performs routine nursing tasks and ADL assistance as directed.
• Measures and records vitals and reports abnormalities to the nurse in charge.
• Supports infection control practices and safety policies at all times.
• Collects specimens and delivers to lab as needed.
• Assists with continuity of patient care and communication among health care team.
• Maintains department cleanliness and restocks supplies.
