Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide excellent, clinically competent patient care using the nursing process across shifts. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and communicate with patients and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include thorough assessments, care planning, documentation, discharge planning, supervising LPN/UAP, and contributing to infection control and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or a compact state.
• Must obtain BLS within 90 days.
• ACLS & PALS within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care on 12-hour shifts.
• Completes comprehensive nursing assessments and plans
• Documents care per policy and coordinates discharge planning
• Supervises LPN and UAP as assigned
• Ensures safety and infection control and participates in quality improvement activities
