Loyola University Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department on a Day shift. The role involves acting as a nurse leader, supporting the nurse manager in planning and resource management, and ensuring regulatory compliance for safe, ethical, patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois RN license with an Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred, plus 1–2 years of charge nurse experience and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
• 1-2 years of Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• RN license in the State of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
• Specialty Certification in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Nurse Manager in ED during the shift and ensure smooth operations.
• Support long-term planning, human and fiscal resource management in the patient care area.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory groups to maintain safe, ethical patient/family-centered care.
• Promote MAGIS behavior within the organization and patient care area; support system-sponsored programs.
• Recognize and apply knowledge of 14 Forces of Magnetism.
