Job summary

Allworth Financial seeks an experienced equity trader and research analyst to join its in‑house equity team in Dallas. The role combines discretionary trading with ongoing fundamental research to support model portfolios and client strategies.

You will monitor fundamentals, track catalysts and valuations, and collaborate with portfolio managers to inform trading decisions and cash deployment. Strong Excel skills and licensing awareness are required.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of experience in equity trading, portfolio implementation, or investment operations with direct trading responsibility.
• Demonstrated judgment in trade decision-making beyond order entry or rules-based execution.
• Familiarity with tax‑aware trading considerations, gain/loss realization, and wash sales.
• Ability to work independently within team governance.
• Experience with fundamental or sector-based equity research.

Responsibilities

• Trading and Portfolio Implementation (approx. 75%): execute rebalancing, manage tax-aware gains/losses, and support onboarding of new accounts.
• Equity Research (approx. 25%): cover sectors, screen names for model portfolios, monitor earnings and company developments.
