Allworth Financial seeks a skilled trader to manage options strategies and contribute to equity trading within in-house portfolios. The role combines structuring and executing diverse options with hands-on equity rebalancing and portfolio implementation.

You will explain strategy rationale clearly to advisors and clients, maintain detailed records, and support onboarding of new accounts in a collaborative, cross-trained team. A strong Excel skill set is essential.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of experience with options strategies including equity, index, or related derivatives.
• Ability to explain options strategies and risk clearly to a non-technical audience.
• Familiarity with multi-leg strategies and exercise/settlement mechanics.
• Strong prioritization and deadline management in a trading environment.
• Understanding of tax-aware trading considerations and cost basis handling.
• Ability to work independently within team governance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a small, cross-trained team.
• Advanced Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Understand, structure, and execute options strategies (covered calls, protective puts, collars, spreads).
• Monitor open positions; adjust or roll strategies as conditions warrant.
• Explain strategy rationale and risk to advisors and clients in plain language.
• Maintain detailed trade and position records plus supporting models in Excel.
• Verify account-level eligibility before trading (type, option approval, restrictions).
• Identify opportunities to bring in-house options execution and expand toolkit.
• Execute account-level rebalancing for target models.
• Determine best allocation for cash based on models and sector allocation.
• Review and approve tactical rebalances in the PM platform; supplement with manual analysis.
• Maintain trading notes, restrictions, goals for accounts; support onboarding of new accounts.
