Job summary

Citi in New York is seeking a Senior Associate to support the lead analyst covering the U.S. Multi-Industry and Engineering & Construction sectors. You will build financial models, co-author earnings previews and industry investigations, and help identify investment themes and risks for institutional clients globally.

The role emphasizes strong modeling, valuation, and research skills, with hybrid work supporting collaboration across Citi's research platform.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in sell-side equity research or related function.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and corporate finance.
• Experience building financial models and performing valuation analyses (DCF, comps, precedent transactions).
• Licenses: SIE, Series 63, 86, 87 (active or eligibility).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and update detailed financial models for U.S. Multi-Industry and Eng. & Construction sectors, including forecasts and scenario analysis.
• Draft and co-author equity research publications, previews, recaps, and industry deep dives.
• Analyze fundamentals, trends, competitive dynamics, and end-market exposures to identify themes and risks.
• Understand drivers like infrastructure spending, project activity, pricing, margins and backlog trends.
• Respond to client inquiries with timely, well-informed perspectives on covered companies.
