Job summary

Clovis Community College seeks part-time Mathematics Instructors to join a pool for vacancies as they arise. The role involves teaching math on campus and at off-site locations, using diverse methods and technology, and contributing to a student-centered, equity-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in mathematics or applied mathematics, a qualifying California CC credential, and demonstrate commitment to serving a racially and socioeconomically diverse student

Qualifications

Evidence of responsiveness to diverse backgrounds and equity-minded practice in the classroom.
Master’s degree in mathematics or applied mathematics.
Bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND Master’s degree in statistics, physics, or mathematics education.
A valid California Community College Credential.
The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

Responsibilities

Teach a part-time schedule of mathematics on campus and at off-site locations.
Assist in operating the tutoring center.
Use diverse pedagogies and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.
Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
Maintain course syllabi and district records; manage grading and evaluations.
Fulfill all duties per Administrative Regulation 7122 and related policies.
Potentially teach evening/weekend and off-campus dual enrollment classes.
