Qualifications

• Master’s in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s in related field and Master’s in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering.
• Bachelor’s in engineering and Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration.
• Bachelor’s in mathematics and Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a master’s in information science, computer information systems, or information systems.
• California Community College Credential or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a part-time schedule of Computer Science courses as assigned;
• Using a variety of pedagogies and delivery systems including online/hybrid formats;
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff;
• Adhering to approved curriculum outlines of record;
• Evaluating student progress through tests and assignments;
• Providing course syllabi to students;
• Maintaining classroom records per District policy;
• Submitting timely grading and evaluation reports;
• Teaching in various settings including evenings/weekends/online;
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Master’s in computer science or computer engineering

Bachelor’s in computer science or computer engineering and Master’s in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering

Bachelor’s in engineering and Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration

Bachelor’s in mathematics and Master’s in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration

Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a master’s degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems

A valid California Community College Credential

The equivalent education and/or experience (equivalency)
